Jack Fire, Brown-Forman Donates $5K to Support Firefighters
Jul. 6, 2017
Since 2008, when tragedy affects firefighters, as well as fire victims, the Fire Family Foundation arrives at the scene to lend a dependable hand. The “Fire Family” was created after 9/11 took hundreds of brave firefighters, and the nonprofit has evolved to become a saving grace for families, such as the Pereiras.
Firefighter Damien Pereira was critically injured battling a fire, forcing his wife Klara to drastically reduce her work hours to care for her husband. An extensive recovery process had the Pereiras facing serious financial – and emotional – hardships. The Fire Family Foundation financially assists the family during the recovery, allowing Klara to focus her attention on helping Damien, as well as their two-year-old son, Grayson.
“I am able to be an active part of my husband’s recovery,” said Klara. “Thank you for making that a possibility.”
The Fire Family Foundation’s mission to provide immediate assistance to those who need it most is one that the Jack Fire and Brown-Forman family appreciates and wants to support. “Rise from the Fire” is a charitable concert series bringing Jack Fire and local bars together to raise money for local families that have recently been affected by a fire.
Consumers attending the Florida edition were treated to live music and specialty Jack Fire cocktails that were specifically designed for “Rise from the Fire.”
Brown-Forman and Jack Fire are proud to support the incredible work of the Fire Family Foundation in the form of a $5,045 donation. Learn more about how you can help their mission: https://www.jackdaniels.com/en-us/rise-from-the-fire
